A few exciting things are happening with Defend The Voiceless! The first being that we are now officially a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible! For all who donate, you will receive an end of year letter for tax purposes. As always, all donations go directly to resources for victims and their families. We will always remain volunteer based only.
We are now able to offer free mental health coaching for victims and their families. These sessions are one on one and confidential. If further professional counseling is needed, we will help get that started with connecting the individual with a licensed counselor and helping with the cost. We will also be providing comfort items and necessities to local sexual assault centers and will start putting up “necessities” boxes outside of local small businesses. If you would like to donate items, you can drop them off at One Stop Taxes in Adairsville, Georgia. We will need hygiene items, underwear, baby formula, diapers, wipes, rash ointment…
Also, we are planning a variety show fundraiser on Saturday, April 22nd. More details will be released on our Facebook page and website in the coming weeks, so watch for those announcements!
